μ-clid MIDI — what's new

Every change that affects you, version by version. μ-clid MIDI was called μ-clid Lite before this release. Earlier changes to the plugin are in the μ-clid release notes.

Next release in testing In testing

Nothing in testing right now. Changes that are coming in the next version will appear here.

v1.1.0.1415 released 17 October 2026 Current

Fixed

  • The rhythm ring no longer hops occasionally when a hit sounds. The ring now reads the step and its position within the step as one consistent reading.
v1.1.0.1410 released 13 October 2026

New

  • μ-clid MIDI now has its own icon, so you can tell it apart from μ-clid in your plugin list and on your desktop. (1461)
  • μ-clid Lite is now μ-clid MIDI, a MIDI-effect product of its own with its own page and download. It is free, with no support message and no key.
  • The installer removes the old μ-clid Lite plugin bundles for you, so you won't end up with two copies.

Improved

  • Your existing projects keep working: only the display name changed. The plugin's internal ID is the same, so a DAW should still recognise it in saved projects.

Fixed

  • A one-step rhythm now keeps sounding instead of playing once and going silent. (1475)

Good to know

  • Some DAWs keep favourites, folders or presets by plugin name. If yours does, you may need to pick the plugin again under its new name, μ-clid MIDI.
  • The download file is now called mu-Clid-MIDI-Windows.zip (and a Linux beta file, mu-Clid-MIDI-Linux.zip).
