Wavetable Drone & Envelope Gate Sequencer

μ-tantDrone. Sculpted by sequence.

A permanent dual-oscillator wavetable drone — shaped by FM and ring modulation — sculpted rhythmically by an envelope gate sequencer. Each step has its own envelope controlling gate, filter cutoff, and pitch across up to 16 bars.

WAVETABLE DRONE ENVELOPE GATE SEQUENCER

Drone synthesis,
rhythmically sculpted.

μ-tant is built for producers who want to push synthesis beyond static patches into evolving, rhythmically alive textures.

2-Oscillator Wavetable Drone

Two wavetable oscillators run continuously, producing a permanent drone. Independent wavetable selection and position scanning on each oscillator — sweep through timbral space for shifting harmonic content.

Core Voice

FM & Ring Modulation

X-mod routes FM and ring modulation between the two oscillators. Dial in subtle harmonic enrichment or push into metallic, clangorous territory — all while the drone continuously evolves.

X-Mod

Envelope Gate Sequencer

Up to 16 bars of step-based gating. Each step has its own customisable envelope — shape the attack from a hard chop to a slow, swelling fade. Per-step probability and loop-N-of-M gating add polyrhythmic variation.

Sequencer

Per-Step Filter & Pitch

Two filters — run them in series for deep sculpting or in parallel for split-band textures. Each step in the gate sequencer independently controls filter cutoff and pitch. Programme melodic sequences, filter sweeps, or pitch jumps — all driven by the envelope-gated drone.

Step Control

8 Modulation Sources

Eight MSEG or stepped-sequence modulators per voice, routable to any parameter — wavetable position, oscillator pitch, filter cutoff, x-mod depth. The synthesis is never static unless you want it to be.

Modulation

Mixer & Sidechain

Identical mixer to μ-clid — three sends, two master inserts, sidechain on every channel. Any voice ducks any other, or from an external sidechain signal. Use a μ-clid kick to pump a μ-tant drone pad for classic electronic textures.
